Privacy and your saved plan

First Skillet is published by JPDevLabs. This notice describes the current site, including optional Google Analytics. Updated October 11, 2026.

Your planner data stays in this browser

No account is required. Your settings, selected recipes, pantry choices, owned equipment, price edits, recipe serving choices, ingredient checkmarks, cooking progress and shopping checkmarks are saved in local storage on this device when your browser allows it. These saved planner choices are not sent to our server or to Google Analytics.

Local storage is not an account backup or device sync. Anyone using the same browser profile may see the saved plan. Use “Start a fresh plan” in the planner or clear this site’s data in your browser to remove it. Downloaded or printed copies must be removed separately. Resetting the kitchen plan does not change your analytics choice.

Optional Google Analytics

Google Analytics is enabled as an optional service. Google analytics tags load only after you choose “Allow analytics.” The planner works if you decline. Use “Privacy choices” in the footer to change your choice. Choosing “No thanks” stops this site’s analytics and removes its accessible Google Analytics cookies. It does not retract information already sent.

If you allow analytics, we send page views and limited usage events: opening the planner, completing a plan, viewing a recipe, and clicking a retailer reference. A reference-click event includes the retailer domain. We do not send your budget amounts, allergy or dietary selections, pantry, selected meal plan, price edits or form entries. Page URLs sent by our event code omit query strings and fragments; referral information is reduced to the referring site’s origin.

Google receives technical connection information, including an IP address, and Analytics can report approximate location, browser and device information and session activity. Google Analytics may place first-party cookies with names beginning _ga to distinguish browsers and sessions. Our analytics configuration keeps advertising consent denied and disables Google signals and ad-personalization signals.

Read how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services, what Google Analytics collects, and Google’s Privacy Policy. These explain Google’s processing; browser settings can also be used to delete or block cookies.

Your allow-or-decline choice is stored separately in local storage for 180 days, unless you change it or clear site data first. This is the lifetime of our consent preference, not a statement about Google’s retention of analytics information. After that preference expires, the site asks again before loading analytics.

Website delivery, fonts and links

Hostinger and the website infrastructure process ordinary requests, including your IP address, requested URL and browser information, to deliver and secure the site. WordPress may set necessary cookies when a site administrator signs in; public visitors do not need to sign in. Google Fonts receives the technical requests needed to serve the fonts. External retailer and reference links lead to services with their own privacy practices.

Email and corrections

If you email JPDevLabs, your email address and the information you choose to send are handled through Gmail so the message can be read and, where appropriate, answered. Do not send passwords, medical information, payment details or a private meal plan. The site has no registration, payment or contact form.

Planned advertising

We plan to request advertising support through Google AdSense. No display advertising is enabled at present. Before ads are enabled, this notice and the relevant consent controls will be updated to describe the actual advertising cookies, third parties, choices and data use. The current analytics choice does not grant advertising consent.
